About New Urban High School

New Urban High School is a magnet school option for 9-12th grade students. NUHS an in-person, diploma-earning school located in Historic Oak Grove. Enrollment includes students from all areas of the District, and students from outside of the District with an approved interdistrict transfer.  Applications are accepted at various times throughout the school year; see the Enrollment section for more details.  

New Urban High School offers:

New Urban was founded on five core beliefs about schools and education:

• We want all of our students to feel that they are known well by our staff and will have meaningful interactions with adults on a daily basis.

• Learning should be challenging, stimulating, and relevant to students' lives.

• Teachers know students' learning styles and provide varied teaching strategies to accommodate for the differences.
